We know that when Canadians eat meat, they want meat - not hormones, antibiotics and fillers - and we know it’s important to you that we care about our cattle as much as we care about our customers. We love our cows and would never hesitate to give them what they need to thrive, but one thing we proudly deprive them of is travel. Our grass fed, grain finished cattle are lovingly raised on 1500 acres at Deer Lake Farms, in Singhampton Ontario on the hills of the gorgeous Niagara Escarpment. Our beef is butchered and packaged at JMar Meats, a 1-hour drive from Collingwood. From there, we prepare your packages and deliver them to your door - from our farm to your table.

Escarpment Cattle Co. is a family-run business, led by Jason and Emily McGill. We have four (incredible) little mouths to feed of our own, so we know that the cost of what makes it to the table is most definitely a thing. We are committed and work hard to keep our prices low, so that as many families as possible can have access to our healthy, grass fed, grain finished beef.

A little about us.
Farming and raising cattle has been a part of our families for generations, and we are so glad that we can share it with our own children. We have enjoyed our own beef for years. Friend and family dinners never failed to end with a request to come back and enjoy the high-quality beef with us again soon. We realized the need for affordable beef in our area, and decided to market and sell our’s to the people of Collingwood and surrounding areas.
Once we decided to give the people what they wanted, Escarpment Cattle Co. was born. In just a few months orders started to flood in, and we aim to support this community for years to come.
